Captain Freddy's was founded by Rick White and draws its name from his father Fred White. Fred owned bars in Steele and Napoleon for over 30 years and, as the logo shows, always had a really good time. Rick was able to gain immeasurable experience in the bar/restaurant industry through his father's ventures. In 2007, Rick saw a need in Bismarck/Mandan for a bar on the river that would offer more than what's currently available. With Nick and Tommy Gross as key partners, he ventured out and began construction in the fall of 2008 on a bar that will further enhance the Missouri River experience.
